Nothing is simpler, and more pleasant, than smelling the flowers. In this watercolour painting, a superb blue wren is sitting among the blossoming camellia flowers.

Whilst it doesn’t transpose to digital screens, light will pass through each layer of paint and reflect back at the viewer. This will allow the viewer to simultaneously see the full painting as well as each layer of color, creating a very dynamic image.

Reflecting upon this simplistic beauty, the entire painting was designed and created from the ground up with just three paint colors. The use of just three paint colors helps to create a harmony that shines and glows between the layers of paint.
